Grant Writer
Chiara brings a unique lens to her work as she has spent significant time working at each layer of the public education sector: the school, district, nonprofit and state education levels. She started her career as a grant writer and credits this role with developing her ability to plan strategically, generate partnerships, and align programmatic goals to budgets.
Through her Master’s program in Urban Education Policy at Brown University, Chiara was also able to develop technical analytical skills related to research, policy and program evaluation. These abilities are paired with a commitment to social justice and educational equity as well as a belief in the power of young people.
Together this forms a philosophy for CDS Education Consulting which helps schools to gain and deploy resources in a manner that is both student centered and aligned to programmatically aligned. Since 2014, Chiara has raised over $26,000,000 for schools and nonprofits throughout the US and has set an ambitious goal of raising $100,000,000 by 2030.
